Early reviews and testimonials

Thanks to all who have written me to share some of their thoughts on NNAOPP.

Chuck, I have good news for you.  On my way home from work today I was stopped at a red light at the intersection of 75th & Mission, as I'm stopped, I looked over to the car on my left and saw a man reading Nude Nuns to his teenage daughter.  A testament to a literary masterpiece no doubt.  Of all the times I've been stopped at that intersection - not once have I seen anyone reading anything - a good omen for sure.  Good luck on the book sales.  Andrew

I absolutely loved your book.  There were so many laugh out loud moments I lost track.  My only regret was when I got to the end, I wanted more stories.  I'm planning on reading it again.  I read passages to Jim, and he howled.  Keep it up.  Jean.

I love this book.  I keep a copy next to my toilet.  I have suffered from a medical problem (locked bowels) for almost 30 years.  I have been reading a chapter each morning at the "appropriate" time and, amazingly, it has completely cured my medical problem.  The world needs more books like this!  Albany John!

For those of you who missed Chuck Wells' "driveway flash party" this weekend, I urge you to get a copy of "Nude Nuns" before it sells out. Not surprisingly, it's a delightful read. Bill

I downloaded an ebook version as soon as I got your email and finished the book over a 24 hour period.  It was wonderful !  I have shared the name with others here in Florida so hopefully you will see some sales from this part of the world. Phil

I read the first piece late last night, which I’d read snippets of before, and I found myself laughing out loud, which concerned me because Dennis had just gone to sleep. Good luck with the sales!!  Also, if you become rich, I know a good charity for a portion of the proceeds….. Palle

I am up through “Prairie Village” and truly enjoying the book…..New Orleans had me howling (:
Congrats and best of luck, I’m spreading the word!!! I want my signed copy to be a good investment. Jeff

Glad to hear your book sales are going well.  I read from cover to cover the afternoon I picked it up and enjoyed every minute; although, I must tell you I kept looking for the story about your Mazola roll aspirations! Patti.

I read Nude Nuns yesterday.  I love your writing style and your stories are wonderful.  I thought I had a good grasp of the English language, but I must admit I learned a few new words reading your book.  I especially enjoyed the section on Prairie Village. I finally broke down and bought a Nook from Barnes and Noble.  When it arrives I will download your book from Smashwords so I can write a sterling review.  Keep on writing...you have a gift. Jim

Chuck, I can't tell you how much I am enjoying your book. You set new standards for tongue-in-cheekisms. I am not quite to the "Albany John" chapter, but look forward to that. The way you have written the book has surfaced many childhood and fraternity memories. I have now put notecards next to the book and a jotting down stories I need to put on paper in a journal.  Dirck

I was reading your book in the family room and laughing out loud often.  My wife came in to ask what I was doing, it was getting so loud. You've got a wonderful way with words. Your book is priceless.  This is a terrific read.  Thanks for writing it.  John

Finished the book last night and passed it onto Betty Sue to read.  All I can say; it was EXCELLENT!!!!!  A BEST SELLER!!!!!!  James' boss from Carmel, Ind bought it and told James she was reading it.  Talley

You are indeed a cunning linguist. Your friend, the Evil Monkey

Chuck, you can now check "craft a very well written, enjoyable, hilarious book" off your bucket list. Wonderful read. Lowell.

Chuck:

We've had company from Montana this past week resulting in intermittent opportunities to pick up NNAOPP. Still, I'm almost finished and find myself feeling quite bummed. What will I do for belly laughs tomorrow? It's impossible to choose a favorite section although fishing Alaska would be near the top of the list; as would Mardi Gras, China, hiking Colorado, gracing America's ballparks, Harvard Business School, pheasant hunting, and (did I mention?) fishing Alaska. Karen and I are honored to have been included in this literary masterpiece and, as for me, quite relieved not to have been depicted as I so richly deserved. Wonderfully done! Jim.

Been reading your book. Almost pissed my pants. Jeff

Chuck
I am Jim B's secretary.  He forwarded your email about your book to me.  So being one who is curious, I went onto Amazon and after reading the description, decided to buy it and download it to my Kindle.  I finished the book last evening,  I thoroughly enjoyed your writing and your various subjects.  I have posted a review on Amazon.
I wish you success.  You made me smile on many occasions while reading.  Waverly's fort reminded me of something my father would have done for my children.
Looking forward to Volume 2. Pat

So glad to heat that sales are brisk. Started reading and am really loving it. I am a sucker for good stories. Laura
